Enterprise Java Victoria is a cluster similar to the eLearning Industry Association. They run monthly seminars on topics of broad interest to those in the ICT community.
On August 24th their topic is startups. Tony Glenning will be talking about his experience of founding Tonic Systems, and of how it was purchased by Google so that its presentation software could be incorporated into Google Docs. Tony subsequently worked for Google for a couple of years, but is now back with another new venture.
They would like some Melbourne startups to be part of this, so that they can share their experiences as well, and form part of a panel. This would be good exposure for any eLearning members. They have been having audiences of around 50 fairly high powered members of the IT community, and eLearning is certainly of interest to many of them.
