Our networking events have evolved so that we are now focussing on fewer, higher value events including:

• Industry breakfasts: in which quality speakers connected to the industry are invited to speak. The focus is on a stimulating a challenging presentation and a chance for industry people to meet and compare notes.

• Showcases: These are industry-wide marketing exercises where members are encouraged to present their products and people are invited to meet the presenters and view and discuss the products.

• Excellence Awards: These are presented annually to the projects adjudged by independent experts as the best for the year in a number of categories. Not only does this event recognise and reward the best projects for the year but, perhaps more importantly, they present the breadth of best eLearning taking place and they provide a benchmark of our progress in the development of our craft. In 2010 these categories are:

  • Accredited eLearning (VET sector)
  • Lifelong learning
  • University eLearning
  • Export eLearning
  • eLearning systems

• Masterclass: In 2010 we are introducing the eLearning Masterclass, a day in which the whys, wherefores and "how muches" of eLearning are explored with the aid of experts who have been directly involved in eLearning projects themselves.
