Further funding opportunity for NBN-enabled education and training
eWorks would like to advise e-learning contacts that the Minister for School Education, Early Childhood and Youth, the Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Jobs and Workplace Relations and the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister on Digital Productivity announced a call for proposals for the NBN-Enabled Education and Skills Services (NBN-EESS) Program on 1 December 2011. This funding is available for education or training initiatives from school, vocational education and/or higher education sectors.
The NBN-EESS is a four-year, $27.2 million program aimed at supporting the development and trialling of online education and skills services that take advantage of the high speed broadband connections being made through the National Broadband Network (NBN). The Program seeks to develop and trial innovative services that have the potential to provide more interactive and effective learning opportunities for all Australians, including those in regional and remote locations.
Any potential applicants for funding under the NBN-EESS Program should first read the Program Guidelines, which are available at: http://www.deewr.gov.au/department/pages/nbneducationandskills.aspx
Applications for funding must be submitted using DEEWR's online applications lodgement system, accessed via the following website: https://educationprograms.deewr.gov.au
Applicants are required to register online in order to access and submit the application form for the NBN-EESS Program. Registration and applications are accessible via the above website. The call for proposals will close on Friday 3 February 2012 at 5:00 pm (AEST).
